Our final stop in Newcastle before heading back to school. Here we are eating lunch outside the Sage.
We are now on our way back home. We are hoping to stop off in Newcastle but there are a few ominous black clouds so we will keep you posted. Ms Astbury and I would like to thank you for your kind messages. We have had an amazing week away with your children, who have been an absolute delight. They have been well behaved, well mannered and have listened to everything we have asked them to do. You should be very proud of them.
Here we are visiting the Grace Darling Museum. We have had so much fun learning about this brave woman. I’m sure the children are looking forward to sharing their learning with you and their friends back at school.
The children have had the opportunity to go inside St Aidan’s Church today. They couldn’t believe how big it actually is inside and were amazed by the detail and decorations inside.
Time for our last breakfast. Again, a mixture of smiling and sad faces but I think we are all ready for home now. Almost time to load up the coach and visit our last stop, the Grace Darling museum.
The children have now moved onto their secret task…writing thank you cards to the staff at our hotel. They have made our stay here so comfortable and have gone over and above to make the children feel at home.
Tonight, the children have put on a fabulous show for all of us. They had to prepare something to perform with the anti-bullying theme: all different, all equal. There were a variety of performances including raps, drama and poems. Here are some photos of them in action.
